Background

With 25+ years of experience in all facets of design and multimedia, I not only bring design and technical skill to the table, but a heightened awareness of messaging and audience targeting. This diverse creative base allowed me to hold the position of Creative Director, for a prominent D.C. area A/V Production Company for 8+ years. Prior to which, I held various media and design positions in the Washington D.C. area.

Because I have a diverse skill-set, all levels of production can be facilitated by me, from conceptualization, ideation, design and branding to print, video and audio production as well as marketing and engagement.

Having the ability to be hands on throughout all aspects of a creative project give me better insight on the overall project and allows me to be more cost effective for my clients.

Editing approach



My approach is ultimately to produce high quality, educational, corporate and government video pieces that have a production level that raises the digestibility and interest to the target audience. Too many times corporate and government content lacks the production value it deserves. This lack of production value could ultimately take away from the messaging and leave critical audiences unenthused.

Details like color correction, sound design, audio sweetening, properly formatted graphics and expert compression tactics are all taken into consideration on my projects. Despite, being a motion graphics designer as well, I try to balance graphic design, animations and effects, with the video content to tastefully support and not drive the piece, unless it is called for.

When editing, I focus on the messaging and target audience but, also delivery of the content and how it will be used or viewed to produce the content modularly when necessary, but maintaining a cohesive overall production and making the most of the production investment.

I have edited and output video content for usage on all platforms including: broadcast, tape/disc delivery, server-based, Internet delivery, and digital/analog playback for live events. I am also capable of editing in all major platforms Mac OS or Windows.

I also have extensive production experience. I own my own cameras, audio, and lighting packages and can deliver broadcast quality HD video for a number of formats and purposes.
